OUR STORY

How we started

 

I started caking when my eldest son Jack turned 1 year old. I was DETERMINED that I would make him the biggest and the best cake I could. Mind you I had NEVER decorated a cake in my life. However, with a lot of help from my mother in law we got there in the end. 



My caking slowly became an obsession and with each birthday I would get more and more adventurous and more and more determined to make every last little detail by myself. 



By the time my second son Michael arrived I was hooked and I was making cakes for anyone that wanted one and sometimes even when they didn't!



A cake isn't just a dessert for me.

It's something that represents the person or event that is being celebrated.

​

It is a symbol of all the love, affection and memories that are associated with that time.

​

It is something that is shared with your friends, family and loved ones and quite often talked about long after the event.

​

It is with this belief firmly in my mind that I started 'Cakes By Jessica'.

​

I love nothing more than to deliver a cake and see a little girl's great big smile when she sees her fairy princess cake or a little boy bouncing up and down at the thought of getting to devour batman or a mother smile fondly at the cake that her family has chosen for her just to say they love her. 



It is my promise to myself and my customers that I pour my heart and soul into each and every cake I bake. And that you will always be 100% happy with the result
